Regarding my overall experience at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa, the university provides a colorful and enriching campus experience that has left me feeling overall positive and ready to learn on a day-to-day basis. There are various options of food to choose, and the numerous types of activities, opportunities, and clubs cater to a wide range of interests, which in return fosters a feeling of community! It is simple to say that this campus aides in a well rounded education and therefore will create a well-rounded student! My biggest joy has been witnessing the professors here at UH Mānoa have the passion, dedication, and enthusiasm for their students and the subject(s) they teach. While larger class sizes and lecture halls are common, I would appreciate more smaller, interpersonal classes. Regardless, I am proud to say that this campus is a home away from home, and an inclusive college that has helped me grow this past semester!

There's a lot to do in Honolulu and on Oahu, but you'll definitely need a car! Other than that, being a student here is pretty good. Please don't come here for vacation, it's a college, and we can tell when you're a rich Californian.

Being at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa has allowed me to stay in close contact with my Native Hawaiian roots, which has in turn allowed me to explore and integrate my culture within my lifestyle in different ways. I enjoy the plethora of opportunities my school gives Native Hawaiians like me--from opportunities to engage in advocacy, to organized activities like lei making and makahiki games. I would like to see more people express interest in learning about the Native Hawaiian culture and the islands of Hawai'i, because I think it's an important to being able to truly enjoy your experience here.
